Oscar & Annie

Meditation Mentors

Both were instrumental in our LIVE online sessions during 2020 and continue to engage children across the UK.

Every meditation that is played in our live sessions is guided by Oscar or Annie.

Oscar started his meditation journey in 2020 age 8 and has been recording guided meditations each year. As his voice matures we have captured magical meditations at each stage!

Annie joined our meditation team age 6 (2022) and continues to progress with guiding meditations each year.

MiniMe Mindfulness® have a whole catalogue of guided meditations led by voices aged 6 to 12 - and therefore can match the meditations matching to the cohort of children that we are teaching - from Pre-School to High School.

Oscar Hawes

Mindfulness & Mindset Mentor

"Mentoring 4 Kids by Kids"

Oscar has been guiding children since 2020 (age 8) in positive mindfulness and mindset routines.

Now a high school student, he has been back in the studio to record our highly impactful

"Mentoring 4 Kids by Kids" programme.

Being in front of the camera as a Mentor for Primary (KS2) and Secondary School (KS3) Students comes naturally to Oscar. He knows the importance of these subjects and understands them inside out - having lived and practiced Mindfulness and Mindset routines all of his life.

Passing on his knowledge in a 'scripted' programme developed and designed by experts.

Oscar brings a cool, relatable, fun and innovative vibe to teaching Positive Mindfulness and Mindset techniques and is set to impact millions of children across the UK and beyond.

Vanessa Murphy

Mindfulness Content Consultant

Vanessa provided support, guidance and consultancy for the Online course content created in 2021. She was a perfect fit for our brand given her decades of experience in working in a fun and creative way with children and her extensive knowledge, high education, qualifications and passion for Mindfulness and Psychology.

Helping us to create the "1 Click online lessons" - teaching mindfulness and mindset techniques to children in a fun and innovative way.

Qualifications/Experience:

Vanessa ran her own drama school for children.

A Transpersonal Counsellor and psychotherapist with the Centre for Transpersonal Psychology in London

Advanced diploma in Transpersonal psychotherapy and accreditation with the UKCP.

Trained in EMDR, in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for trauma.

Studied Bob Moore’s meditation/exercises, as taught by Hilmar Schonauer in London

Trained as a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction teacher based on the work of Jon Kabat Zinn courses as taught at Bangor University.

Vanessa has been teaching MBSR for students and staff at the University of Essex for 9+ years.

Owns a private practice, extending courses across Suffolk.

“I was a primary school teacher for 17 years, and I believe it is magical working with children; their energy, curiosity and ability to live in the moment is inspiring.

Over the years I have noticed a decrease in children’s well-being. This began to ignite my passion to study more about children’s mental health and well-being, including becoming the lead in our school for social and emotional care. At the same time, I grew my own practice in self-care whilst I trained to become a qualified Yoga teacher.

MiniMe Mindfulness® aligns with all my core values of wishing to make a real difference in our community and having a positive impact on our children’s future and well-being.

Previously held Level 4 safeguarding training and held the role of 'deputy designated safeguarding lead' in a large, multi-cultural school within a significantly deprived area.

20+ years of volunteering for Girl Guiding. Running weekly meetings, residential and day trips which promote young women's independence, confidence, self-belief and hunger for adventure.

Claire Rushton-Plant

I made the switch to this role after seeing so many students over the years struggling with their mental health. I want to be part of the solution in supporting them in this area.

Kim Mallows

When engaging with the MiniMe Mindfulness® online lessons with her own children Kim contacted Tessa and said "If you ever expand MiniMe Mindfulness, I want to be part of it!"

With a background of performing arts and working with children and being a Mummy of 2 - personal development in mindset techniques has always been a passion that I've studied and practiced - for myself and my girls. Little eyes are always watching. I also understand through my professional capacity how confidence, courage and self belief can impact on a child's ability to thrive - both on and off stage."

Donna Turpin

I have over 17 years of experience working with children and young people in both public and private children's home settings.

I have dedicated my career to nurturing and managing these environments, ensuring that children have received the care

and support they have required.

As a health and wellness advocate, I am passionate about inspiring children to

embrace a balanced and healthy lifestyle, empowering them to thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Through having a natural empathy for others, I have developed the skills such as

understanding and resilience to fully support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Sophie Alexander

I have a degree in psychology and have built my career of 17 years around business

leadership and strategy as a Place Shaping Expert; in Ipswich and Suffolk.

In 2022 I was recognised as one of Suffolk's most influential people.

I am dedicated to community improvement which has been a driving force within my work, being deeply committed to equipping the next generation with essential life

skills.

I believe that teaching mindfulness and mindset techniques is crucial to developing future leaders who are resilient and well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

When awarded with the MiniMe Mindfulness® Accreditation - the Mindset Mentors then acquires access to the MiniMe Mindfulness® Lesson Plans, Meditations and Online programmes. They are then ready to teach Positive Mindfulness and Mindset techniques in a fun and innovative way - teaching 25 superpowers that span a series of 60+ sessions.
